Services

The services being tested in MonAMI are based on eight different identified needs that an old and/or disabled user and his/her carer may have. These are:

  • Security
  • Health and Care
  • Memory
  • Personal Control
  • Daily life
  • Social Integration
  • Socialising
  • Education, entertainment and Fun

The services to meet these needs which have been tested in MonAMI are divided into the following:

  • AMiSURE for safety and security includes services that monitor the home environment and can be programmed to send a notification or alarm when an abnormal condition for the individual is identified such as falls, lack of activity or presence in restricted areas, abnormal lighting, temperature and humidity levels in the home, smoke and gas leakage, open/unlocked doors and windows.

  • AMiCASA for home control includes services that allow the individual to control devices such as shutters, lights, doors and appliances with his/her user interface, both when at home and away from home. The individual can also programme AMiCASA so that the different devices function automatically such as lights turn on when someone enters a room.

  • AMiVUE is a service that presents information on the user interface about the status of devices in the home such as shutters, lights, doors, windows and appliances as well as information on the temperature, humidity and presence/movement in the home both when at home and away from home.

  • AMiPAL is a service for time management that gives prompts to the individual so he/she can more easily keep appointments and take medication on time. The service can be used both to remind the individual and to detect abnormal behaviour.

  • AMiPLAY is a service which provides accessible games that encourage physical activity and social interaction. AMiPLAY can be used by health and social care professionals as an assessment tool.
