The Swedish Institute of Assistive Technology has been the co-ordinator of several years' development project about Technology and Dementia. Results and experiences from the project form the basis of this course.
You will recieve advice on how you can assist people with dementia and caregivers to have access to technical support and assistive devices so they can cope with daily activities.
Prescribing cognitive assistive technology requires knowledge, about the illness, cognition and about new technology and assistive devices. The course is aimed at prescribers, dementia nurses, care administrators and care staff.
Study in your own pace
The course is designed for individual study and is divided into different sections, which contain a film and questions for you to think about. The films have English subtitles. The total playing time for the film sequences is approx 40 minutes.
