Date: May 19-20, 2011
Location: Stockholm, Sweden
Organised by: prof. S. Lundberg, CHB, Centre for Health and Building at the Royal Institute of Technology and Gunnar Fagerberg, SIAT, Swedish Institute of Assistive Technology
The conference will highlight electronic services that increase the security, independence and quality of life for elderly persons and persons with disabilities and their families as well as their families in everyday life.
The MonAMI project has developed a number of services using mainstream technology such as mobile phones, Internet, personal computers and touch screens. The technology and services are presently being tested in homes in the Stockholm area and in homes in Slovakia and Spain.
The services concern the safety in the home, management of the home's features and appliances, information about the current situation in the home, calendar and reminders, and simple games. Results and experiences from the testing will be presented at the conference.
The conference will give us an opportunity to share experiences and knowledge on the use of the services and technology from several countries and to discuss their potential for elderly persons and persons with disabilities and their families.
The MonAMI conference in Stockholm:
- is both a national conference and the final conference for the whole project
